Lecturer (Independent Contractor) vacancy exists at the Cape Town Campus in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, in the following disciplines for the 2023 academic year:

• Lecturer: The Sociology of Developing Societies (modules: TPPS6221 and SOCI5121)

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Masters in Political Studies and/ or Sociology 

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• It would be preferable if the following additional competencies are fulfilled: Work experience as a Sociologist in the Political, or International relations field. Lecturing/Tutoring experience in above-mentioned module (at least at undergraduate level).

Working Conditions:

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.
• Positions are part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:30.
• Must reside in Cape Town
