    Compliance Specialist

    Purpose of the Job    

    To assist Legal & Compliance Manager with Compliance / Complaints / Fraud Investigation / Business Support.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

    Job Objectives    

    • Compliance Administration
    • Transaction Monitoring
    • Clearing of all Politically Exposed Persons / Prominent Influential Person
    • Information gathering and problem analysis – Fraud Investigation and Documentation
    • Mentoring and Feedback to Support Teams (Business, Call Centre’s, Stores and Vendors)
    • Monitor BI reports for action (daily, weekly, and monthly)
    • Complaints handling in line with Regulatory requirements SLA’s and Risk
    • MMA Governance
    • Bank / FSCA / FIC reporting
    • Maintain department SLAs for escalation and objection handling
    • Disputes and Resolution Management and oversight
    • Identify training needs based on Compliance evaluations and Risk Identified
    • Proactive approach during critical campaign peaks.

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 (Matric) or Equivalent of an NQF5 (Essential) and RE5

    Experience    

    • Customer / Business / Call Centre Support / Compliance Support (Practise Management)
    • Good Understanding – FAIS /FICA / AML / Code of Banking Practise.
    • Understand customer and Compliance needs
    • Experience in Financial Institution Banking and Insurance (Advantageous)

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Neutral accent essential with excellent verbal and written English communication skills 
    • Confidence and creditability with the ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner 
    • Computer literacy in order to operate customer related information system 
    • Complaints resolution by using active listening and communication skills
    • Embraces change whilst remaining productive and positive 
    • High degree of accuracy, in order to provide quality service to the business
