    Commercial Insurance Sales Executive

    About the role: 

    • The Commercial Insurance Sales Executive is responsible for identifying potential clients, presenting tailored insurance proposals, and closing policy sales. Building strong client relationships is essential for both client retention and generating new business. In-depth knowledge of products and providers is required, along with ensuring complete and accurate administration for all policies and clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Uphold core company values and align with the company’s vision.
    • Ensure customer trust through adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
    • Deliver clear, tailored advice and maintain high service quality.
    • Set and review individual objectives aligned with branch goals.
    • Maintain FAIS compliance and commit to continuous professional growth.
    • Complete accurate, timely administration and maintain organised client files.
    • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide excellent customer service for retention and new business.
    • Proactively network, analyse client needs, and close sales.
    • Stay informed on products, risks, and competitors to remain competitive.

    Education/Training Requirements:

    • Short-term Insurance qualification
    • RE 5 certification
    • Product-specific training
    • Commercial and Personal Lines knowledge
    • Ongoing CPD hours

    Core Competencies:

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Proven sales and marketing abilities
    • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
    • High-level administrative skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Knowledge of insurers and insurance products, particularly in Transport and Logistics
    • Familiarity with insurance systems (e.g., Flexi, Cardinal 360)
    • Effective time management
    • Ability to work under pressure

    Experience:

    • Experience working with Commercial, Transport, and Personal Lines clients.
