Purpose Statement

• To produce comprehensive technical specifications that offer a technical viable solution and address the business requirements in respect of the cloud.
• Design and provide guidelines relative to cloud and cloud architecture to facilitate projects within the App product stream.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum

• At least 8-10 years' experience in systems architecture / design
• Basic project management experience
• 3-5 years' cloud experience (preferably AWS)
• Strong technical background in development of backend systems
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Systems Engineering or Computer Science
• Cloud Security certification
• Cloud Solutions Architecture certification

Ideal

• Cloud experience
• AWS experience
• Honours Degree in Information Technology Systems Engineering or Computer Science

Knowledge

Min

Must have detailed knowledge of:

• Cloud solution architecture (technical design and implementation processes)
• Understanding of how enterprises use information technology for wide range of purposes and applications
• Understanding of the building blocks of IT, client systems and applications, networking, infrastructure, data centres, programming languages, web tools and technologies, databases and big data, and ERP
• Storage analysis and design
• Technical Test Plan Design
• Cloud Threat modelling
• IT systems development processes
• Application development
• Standards and governance

Cloud Environment
