Civil Technician at Mondi Group

Your mission:

• Manage HSEC requirements for all service providers at Mondi: Civils, roads, rails, plumbing and structural steel.
• Management and creation of contracts for various service providers at Mondi: Civils, roads, rails, plumbing and structural steel.
• Scoping of works and drafting of method statements for various Business Units: Structural repairs, removal of redundant structures and equipment, Road repairs, Concrete work, earthworks.
• Improvement projects: Upgrade to buildings, structures, roads, drainage and underground services (water, Sewer, Effluent-lines).
• Understanding of various materials of construction required for building, concrete and piping repairs.
• Perform structural and building inspections, compile condition assessment reports and consolidate a corrective action plan catering to all defects.
• Perform a variety of routine civil and related maintenance activities – management of PMMPs.
• Quality assurance – manage contractor hold points, perform regular inspections, and consolidate closure reports.
• Design and management of civil and structural projects from concept to construction phase.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that work is being completed according to specifications and quality standards.
• Promote safety, health and environmental issues.
• Accurate reporting. 

Your profile:

• BTech Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• BSc/BEng degree would be an advantage.
• 5 years’ experience in a Heavy Industry.
• Civils, Roads, Structural steel, Redundant Equipment removal experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction and maintenance practices and processes, materials, and techniques. 
• In-depth understanding of industry and building regulations.
• Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry and performing work in heavy industries will be beneficial.   
• Recognition for prior learning will be considered/given.
