Chief Superintendent - EMPD19432 at City of Ekurhuleni

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Valid Driver's License (At least code B)
• No criminal record or illicit activity recorded
• Registered as Traffic Officer
• Metro Police Qualification from an institution accredited by the RTMC (Road Traffic Management Corporation) & SAPS (South African Police Services) comprising of: Traffic Officer Diploma & Law Enforcement Skills Certificate
• Diploma or Higher Certificate: Policing/ Traffic Management/ Law Enforcement/ Public Administration on NQF level 5
• Advanced Diploma / B-Tech /Bachelor's Degree: Policing/ Traffic Management/ Law Enforcement on NQF level 6 will be an added advantage
• 3 years' experience as Superintendent / Inspector or equivalent role in a Law Enforcement/ Traffic/Policing Environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee enforcement of Traffic Laws
• Manage and oversee the execution of crime prevention activities within CoE
• Manage and ensure enforcement of By-Laws
• Manage and ensure execution of policing duties in respect of crowd management, VIP protection and events
• Manage and ensure the execution of Road Safety and Crime Awareness campaign
• Dealing with Domestic Violence complaints and incidents according to the Domestic Violence Act
• Use of Animals in executing policing duties within CoE
• Execute Administrative Functions
