    Job Advert    

    • This executive will lead the marketing strategy and take accountability for the marketing portfolio in the company.   An ability to effectively interact at a strategic level with confidence, impact and influence is a key attribute.
    • If you’re an innovative, strategic thinker with a passion for developing omni-channel marketing strategies with great attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to juggle many balls at once, this is the role for you!
    • As with all Ackermans positions, but especially at this level of management, candidates will need to possess a value system that aligns with Ackermans values, whilst demonstrating outstanding leadership skills.     Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

    • Applicants for the position who meet the following requirements are preferred:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in an executive marketing role, from any industry
    • Excellent leadership skills
    • Demonstrated business acumen and results/detail orientation supported by strong analytical ability
    • Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
    • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix and PR activities
    • Experience in the running and implementation of major business initiatives
    • Demonstrated ability to drive and maintain 3rd party / key supplier / stakeholder relationships

    Key Responsibilities    
    This is a full CMO role in every aspect, including responsibility for:

    • Brand and marketing strategy
    • Customer insights
    • Managing advertising agency to deliver impactful advertising
    • Managing media buying and PR agencies
    • Digital and social media marketing
    • Direct marketing
    • Market trends, market research and competitor activity
    • Loyalty
    • Mobilising the company around marketing campaigns
    • The position reports to the CEO.
