Central Buying Analyst: Systems - Kulis River at Ackermans

• We are looking for a resilient, efficient, and driven individual who can ensure effectiveness of the business operations as identified through buying projects and efficient systems enablement related to buying initiatives.

Qualifications    
Essential:

• A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
• A relevant degree /qualification in Fashion, Textile Design /Clothing Production/ Product Development /Merchandising, or a related field

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    
KNOWLEDGE required:

• Knowledge of the retail merchandise cycle with regards to Buying
• Knowledge of buying principles & strategies
• Merchandise/Retail Systems Knowledge specifically Centric Software

SKILLS required:

• Excellent communication at all levels within the company
• Latest Microsoft applications including advanced Power-point competency
• Merchant skills & a sound commercial mentality
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional planning, organizing & time management skills
• Networking skills & the ability to be resourceful

The ability to:

EXPERIENCE required:
Essential:

• Retailbuying experience of at least 3 years in clothing
• Integral understanding of the Clothing Retail Cycle & Product Attributes
• Centric Software user experience

Preferred:

• Merchandise/Retail Systems Knowledge
• Project Management

Key Responsibilities    

• Facilitate, co-ordinate and develop solutions for strategic company projects.
• Central collation, effective use/implementation and governance of buying-/ systems-/ project-related documentation.
• Look for new developments and refinements to continuously improve systems efficiency.
• Accurate data reporting and analysis of buying systems/ tools/ reports.
• Act as a liaison within the functional areas to facilitate effective change management.
