Buyer/Commodities - Chloorkop at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Buying of commodity raw materials into the Personal Care and Homecare industry.
• Souring of new suppliers for existing product range and sourcing new commodity raw materials.
• Maintain relationships with current suppliers.
• Stock management of all commodities.
• Track commodity prices.
• Market intelligence.
• Solid understanding of the market and competitors within the market.
• Assisting sales team with selling of commodities.
• Will be responsible for direct selling of commodities in specific areas of the business.
• Meeting budgeted targets.
• React quickly to market conditions.
• Joint customer visits at key accounts with the sales team and working closely with the sales team providing sales support.
• Involvement in all customer complaints to completion.
• Understanding the latest trends and share them with customers together with tracking of new trends.
• Troubleshooting at customers.
• Product and market training to sales team

Qualifications & Experience    

• Grade 12
• Matric with Chemical Degree or NQF equivalent or related will be beneficial.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in trading commodity raw materials within the Personal Care and Homecare industries: sales/buying.
• Must currently deal with customers and suppliers.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects.
• Sound understanding of commodity raw materials and trends.
• Sound understanding of margin management and pricing trends within the industries.
