    Business Partner Internationalization Digital Platforms and eSolutions Support

    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    • Working closely with the Senior Director: Office of International Education, the purpose of the job is to establish and enhance existing ICTS platforms to develop eSolutions for the digitisation of internationalisatiom and support the University’s virtual academy.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • To identify and implement appropriate platforms, programmes and systems to deliver eSolutions aimed at improving student experience
    • To provide digital and systems support for student application processes
    • To provide digital and automating solutions to the effective management of International Partnerships Management
    • To provide digital support to the strengthening and promotion of the University’s outbound and inbound mobility programmes
    • To contribute to University Efforts for the establishment of a Virtual Academy

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    • Good knowledge of the South African Higher Education Sector
    • Good understanding of the information technology infrastructure needs of Higher Education Institutions
    • Good understanding of international student mobility patterns and trends.
    • Knowledge of coding, programming, web and App development
    • Experience conducting business analysis of the International Office and aligning it with broader institutional strategies for digital transformation
    • Ability to provide sound advice on the best techniques and digital solutions required for the International Office to develop a digital ecosystem of technologies aligned with the broader digital transformation of the University
    • An understanding of digital marketing platforms and demonstrable knowledge of how marketing and analytics tools, social media and content marketing can be used to expand the international visibility and positioning of the University.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of digital project management methodologies such as SCRUM and AGILE
    • Ability to actively participate in high level engagement platforms of the university on matters concerning digital and eSolution programmes for interationalisation
    • Ability to make decisions, to be creative enough to think on ones toes and offer advice where needed even when unsolicited
    • Willingness to continuously improve skills within a fast-changing information age and the demands of the 4th IR
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills including report writing
    • Strong facilitation and mentoring skills
    • Excellent people management skills, interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure, learn continuously and adapt to changing internal and external environments
    • A service and humanising orientation

     
    REQUIREMENTS
    Candidates must hold an Honours degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Media, Digital Marketing or Business Communication. A Masters qualification in Computer Science and Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline will be considered an advantage. Candidates must have 3 to 5 years relevant experience where such experience includes:

    • Working in the Higher Education sector
    • Project management in the information technology field
    • Proven track record of creating, designing or having been involved in designing of user interface platforms that have improved or translated into enhanced digital services
    • A track record of working with students within an academic or administrative context, as well as working in the international office or with international students in any context
    • Working with client in large organisations or institutions
