    Business Development Manager - Centurion

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Investments
    • CFP or equivalent
    • 3-5 years’ relevant experience within a LISP / wealth management environment
    • Expert knowledge of international investments / products/ platforms and wealth management
    • Experience within international platforms and funds
    • Knowledge of local and international financial markets, economics and politics
    • Expert knowledge of international product offerings and the international landscape
    • Knowledge of financial instruments, local product offerings and pricing

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Enable the distribution capability through investment, savings and wealth management offerings.(Internal Process)

    • In collaboration with the Head of Distribution Enablement, provide technical support, investment marketing and specialist support in the field in order to promote and grow investment, savings and wealth management propositions to enable the distribution strategy.
    • Enable the distribution strategy to maximise revenue through the support and alignment of Momentum Investments business strategy as the wealth management philosophy.
    • For Independent Financial Adviser (IFA), if applicable, develop and implement plans in accordance with overall objective and strategy to increase use of international products.
    • Liaise and collaborate with distribution stakeholders to support and enable operational plans.
    • Ensure the coordination and collaboration of business priorities across all business units and distribution channels.
    • Drive and influence an in-depth understanding of the needs of clients, Regional managers and IC’s in the business.
    • Ongoing, frequent engagement and marketing activities in support of the Momentum Wealth international proposition across the distribution channels.
    • Proactive engage in external and internal collaboration to build Momentum Investments brand of exceptional client service.
    • Keep abreast of trends, legislation and best practices within the financial or investment field to optimise service offering.
    • Enable the tactical plans in collaboration with executive management and other relevant business stakeholders to deliver on distribution enable service delivery and achieve business objectives.
    • Develop and implement approaches to identify and develop new business opportunities for Momentum’s offshore offering.
    • Partner with Momentum Investments stakeholders to share knowledge, insights and address any gaps or challenges.
    • Facilitate and enable initiatives aimed at equipping IC’s in business to identify and meet clients’ need and improve client engagement.
    • Enable regional strategy through guiding, advising, coaching and enabling IC’s.
    • Gather competitive intelligence and new product ideas from the business environment and share market insights with the Investment Distribution enablement team.
    • Drive the application of good governance principles and legislative compliance within the area.

    Engage with clients in a client centric manner(Client Services)

    • Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
    • Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed.
    • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.
    • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.

    • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
    • Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
    • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge.

    • Develop and mentor team administrator for their own as well as administrators group

    Manage budget and implement sound financial controls(Finance)

    • Control the budget for area, including the authorisation of expenditures and implementation of financial regulations.
    • Manage high risk and problematic financial issues in area of accountability and contribute to the development of policy.
    • Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
    • Implement and manage financial risk methodologies, techniques and systems and use to monitor and report on financial activities.
    • Implement and provide feedback on the effectiveness of financial policy, practice and procedures preventing illegal, unethical or improper conduct.
    • Implement risk management, governance and compliance policies in own practice area, to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability.
    • Investigate reported wilful acts of non-compliance to organisation policy and practice and report on findings.
