Assistant Warehouse Manager at Measured Ability Group of Companies

Minimum Qualifications:

• Matric. 
• Supervisory skills/experience and a wealth of knowledge in STEEL products and industry
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
• Computer literate (MS Office & SAGE).
• Drivers license. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise inbound and outbound deliveries and ensure all goods are in order and quality standards. 
• Supervise off - loading, record shortages, and reject damages. 
• Monitor the returns process, and inform the relevant people including the sales staff. 
• Count, weigh, measure items in order to verify against invoice orders. 
• Ensure goods are stored per set out procedure with efficient space utlisation. 
• Oversee efficient receipt, storage, including all value adding services. 
• Investigate items that are not recorded in the receipt log book.
• Ensure efficient receipt of stock with relevant staff and document control. 
• Perform stock counts at given times. 
• Supervise, monitor and check all night shift loading. 
• Prepare log/trip sheets for outbound vehicles during night shift. 
• Supervise employees and implement disciplinary procedures where applicable. 
• Supervise weekly shift allocation. 
• Manage to control work process flow as per the ISO 9001 quality manual. 
• Ensure the Health and Safety standards as per legislation and promote safe working conditions. 
• Assist to initiate, co - ordinate and enforce operational policies and procedures. 
• Work closely with SHEQ Officer to raise non - conformances where necessary in accordance with procedures. 
• Prepare and conduct a six - monthly stock count. 
• Ensure stock rotation and movement as per zoning. 
• Supervise house  - keeping. 
• Assist with customer/supplier queries and complaints. 
• Supervise and check all customer collections. 
• Maintain service delivery and quality.
