Minimum Requirements

• Must be a qualified Auto Electrician
• Must have 3 or more years of experience
• Experience with Volvo vehicles would be an advantage
• Must be prepared to work shifts/call-outs
• Must be computer literate
• Must have own transport
• EC License would be an advantage
• Ability to cope under pressure without supervision
• Hands-on approach
• Willingness to undergo additional training related to the position
• Clean record
• Medically fit

Duties & Responsibilities

• Use a variety of tools throughout the workday to diagnose and perform repairs.
• Utilize power tools, like electronic screwdrivers and drills, to install electrical systems within vehicles.
• Use voltage and current meters to test the flow of electricity to various electrical systems within a vehicle, including headlights, GPS, and sound systems.
• Employ stripping tools to remove and replace electronic wiring.
• Perform technical repair and maintenance of buses and automobiles.
• Troubleshoot, order parts, and repair difficult mechanical problems.
• May direct and train less-experienced mechanics and serve as the lead mechanic on repair jobs.
• Know and follow all organization, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Serve as a resource for technical problems.
