    Agile Coach

    The Role

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled Agile Coach and trusted advisor to our clients, you are primarily responsible for arming individuals, teams, leaders and executives, with the right knowledge, tools, and training to help them adopt and improve an agile mind-set, methods, principles and practices in order to ensure effective outcomes for the organisation. You will coach at all levels within an organisation to transform the way they work and build the alignment, collaboration, and synchronisation to transform the organisational strategy into sustainable execution.

    Skills and Experience

    Responsibilities:

    • Work directly with Release Train Engineers, Business Owners, Leaders, Executives, and other Lean-Agile coaches to help them embody an agile mind-set and implement Lean-Agile practices.
    • Exposes leaders and organisations to the latest innovative thinking and ideas from the Agile community to increase agility.
    • Understand where the Organisation is within their agile journey and employ the right approach to take them to the desired maturity.
    • Leverage multiple frameworks and developmental models to provide a customised coaching approach to the organisation and individuals.
    • Enable strong and fast feedback loops.
    • Use data (productivity, team health and value delivery metrics) skilfully to assess and guide the organisation to better agility.
    • Embody agile principles and lead by example.
    • Increase collaboration, predictability, transparency, and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.
    • Demonstrate and value honesty, fairness, openness and listening abilities.
    • Mentorship - Sharing knowledge, skills and perspectives that foster personal and professional growth for others (formally and informally).
    • Engage in internal initiatives where relevant.
    • Share knowledge with peers and actively participate or contribute to the coaching capability 

    Qualifications:

    Essential Qualifications:

    • SAFe Practice Consultant (6.0)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Agile certifications such as PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, Leading SAFe, Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) or similar - advantageous

    Your expertise:

    • 5-10 years as an Agile Practitioner or Practise Lead, especially at an organisational transformation context or a senior coaching role
    • Proven experience working on agile initiatives
    • Knowledge of Agile at scale
    • Solid understanding of Lean, Scrum and Kanban
    • Senior Agile Coaching Experience advantageous

    • Negotiation skills
    • Flexibility and adaptability
    • Presentation and facilitation skills
    • An effective communicator (written and verbal) in order to present your ideas and articulate every aspect of your designs
    • A ‘team player’ with the ability to work within a collaborative and ever-changing environment
    • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
    • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels within an Organisation
    • Ability to manage quality coaching deliverables
    • Understanding of product development life cycles and methodologies (Agile, Lean, etc.)
    • Understanding of scaling Agile within the context of an Organisation
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to technical or non-technical personnel
    • Defaults to questions instead of answers. Defaults to listening instead of talking
    • Excellent presentation development and delivery skills
    • Capacity to inspire and motivate
    • Can apply their working knowledge of agile practices and methodologies to unique situations
    • Excellent and varied influencing skills and ability to identify the right tactic for leaders and executives
    • Values success and failures and celebrates both
