We are now recruiting for an Accounting Associate for our Finance Team!

You will be directly reporting to the Associate Manager - Accounting.

Objective of the Role

This role will be mainly responsible to produce management reporting on inventory and deferred payables and receivables.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for accuracy of AGI’s financial reporting figures, through the systemic and creative application of analytical controls;
• Ensure quality controls over financial transactions and financial reporting Coordinate with Supply Chain and Finance to drive faster month end close and make the process more efficient;
• Oversee overall inventory management, including implementation of inventory controls, ageing reviews, write-offs & provisions and reporting Support year end processes;
• Provide technical support and ensure compliance with IFRS Actively support SAP integration;
• Train team members on new processes and share leading practices Continuous improvement in terms of productivity, speed and quality of processes;
• Lead inventory-related projects Review monthly inventory reconciliation and submission of the inventory report to the Finance and Supply Chain management team;
• Manages the accounting bookings for deferred payables and receivables;
• Management of the internal and external audit, including acting as the main point of contact related to inventory and deferred payables/ receivables;
• Maintaining and updating the deferred payables and receivables schedules on a timely manner;
• Responding to Group queries on deferred payables and receivables;
• Any other ad-hoc duties.

Requirements

What you will need to be successful in the Role

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or completed ACCA or CIMA or equivalent qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in accounting
• Relevant ERP experience
• Proficient in Excel.
