    Account Manager: Financial Services - Cape Town

    • This exciting and challenging opportunity will allow the successful candidate to contribute significantly to enabling the business to achieve its long-term strategic objectives and profitability indicators.

    Qualifications    
    Essential:

    • A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric

    Preferred:

    • A relevant Business/Commercial Degree or Diploma.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    
    We are looking for an individual who: 

    • An excellent comprehension of the Commercial Customer behaviour and principles.
    • An understanding of value retailing.
    • A practical grasp of the South African market would be advantageous. 

    Skills required.

    • Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook capabilities
    • Understanding of how open and closed loop transactional accounts work
    • Experience in a payments / Financial services environment
    • Product management
    • Skilled negotiator
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Numerical aptitude
    • Analytical skills
    • Business analysis

    The ability to:

    • to work well under pressure and under tight deadlines.
    • Prioritizes relevant information into an actionable plan.
    • to develop, monitor and maintain various processes and procedures simultaneously.
    • drive execution, foster innovation, focus on delivery, collaborate with others and to find solutions.

    Experience:
    Essential:

    • Minimum 3 - 5 years key account management experience in a retail/commercial and/or financial services environment.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in dealing with financial institutions and regulation; project management skills; solid understanding of IT systems and new product development.
    • Experience in Value Added services products and credit would be beneficial.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Create and maintain supplier relationships.
    • Grow and improve product offering to customers.
    • Manage end to end value chain of products internally.
    • Manage commercials of products.

    Manage projects to:

    • Ensure all SOPs are relevant and up to date for your products.
    • Provide insightful reporting and deliver data driven proposals.
    • Manage communication, implementation and execution of campaigns and projects.
