The Technical Solution Consultant will be responsible and accountable for overall delivery of technical solution initiatives within the region with the focus on supporting and growing the TradeWorld business on the New SAP Hana platform. Serves as the single point of contact for delivery of the technology solutions. Will required to use innovative thinking to find ways to improve on existing processes and solutions to ensure that the products provided to the clients are competitive with what is available on the market. Will be required to provide input guidance on product design with a focus on UX and UI experience. Works well cross-departmentally and cross-organizationally to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions initiatives. The candidate needs to have exceptional skills in analyzing, researching and reverse engineering of legacy products using provided documentation and source code. The candidate will be required to ramp up quickly to assist supporting and maintaining the existing platforms working with another Technical Solution Consultant. The Technical Solution Consultant should maintain outstanding peer relations with other Teams and their Managers, Services and Software Sales, Customer Engagement Executives, Operations, Technical Support and Solution Management. The Technical Solution Lead will work within an existing team of consultants to the TradeWorld, Quadrem and Ariba Networks and potentially other cloud solutions in the Procurement Line of Business. The Technical Solution Lead will work closely with another Technical Solution Lead and will be required to act as the captain and oversee his tasks/ responsibilities, collaborate on technical projects together.

Responsibilities

• Perform all stages of the software development life cycle, self-manage activities on smaller projects and serve as technical lead on small, medium and large projects.
• Take the lead for all development requirements and development for the TradeWorld business on the New SAP Hana platform.
• Actively look ways to improve technical solutions and processes so that the business runs optimally.
• Solving problems as they develop.
• Keeping management up to date on project status.
• Collaborate with business and project teams to gather requirements and business needs.
• Collaborate with existing Technical Solution Consultant, upskilling where required in order to fully support the TradeWorld business on the New SAP Hana platform.
• Document and log all development requirements and maintain good documentation of processes/ applications designed and implemented.
• Design, develop and maintain integrations between various multi-national companies and the local and global platform when applicable.
• Take the lead/ ownership for the businesses needs technical discussions.
• Implement and maintain various SQL backend solutions, including the design and development thereof.
• Implement and maintain various web and forms developed Microsoft applications, including the design and development thereof.
• Make technical decisions to meet the design goals laid out in product road map and by management.
• Identify and prioritize issues that require more attention, and work to resolve issues based on an understanding of the business problem being solved.
• Takes a lead role in promoting agreed best practice techniques and continuous improvement by providing guidance around best practice solutions for electronic data interchange that best support the customers and local internal business process choreographies.
• Draw appropriate resources together in order to address technical issues.
• Coordinate and facilitate solution delivery between all internal and external stakeholders.
• Direct and focus the efforts of the project team during development projects.
• Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to stakeholders and management.
• Report project/task status to management.
• Design, development and deployment of various Reports as indicated by business system needs.
• Continuous improvement and optimization of applications and related databases within the local architecture.
• Solution delivery in conjunction with global matrix integration resources that are assigned on a per project basis.
• Due to the nature of the work working after hours is a requirement as needed.

Job Specific Competencies & Skills

• SAP HANA Database Skills: Modeling, Administration, XS Engine CRON Jobs (On-Premise or HANA Cloud Platform)
• JavaScript, NodeJS, OData, AJAX, Java, C#, ASP, .NET (JavaScript 4+ years)
• SAPUI5 MVC Fiori-Like Applications (XML Views, JavaScript Controllers)
• CSS3, DHTML/XHTML/HTML5.
• Web Services, SOAP, Windows Azure.
• LINUX skills competent (Can work in Terminal to maintain OS related tasks.)
• Windows Server Skills (IIS, Server management, etc., Networking).
• SAPUI5 Development for Mobile (sap.m packages) a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational talent
• Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
