Senior User Experience Specialist at Sage

Job description

The Senior User Experience Specialist is responsible for leading the creation of innovative end-to-end design solutions for implementation across Sage Products and Services.

The Senior UX Specialist will possess in-depth experience of web and mobile technologies, human interaction and user-centred design.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers, design analysts, engineers, testers and other Sage functions to deliver an extraordinary customer experience, through best in class products and services, to customers across the Sage product portfolio.
• Coach and mentor other UX team members, and members of the wider delivery team.
• Be the subject matter expert on selecting the appropriate UX solution and defining the vision of the End-To-End User experience.
• Provide guidance to product managers to plan User Experience as part of product development strategies, and influence stakeholders to drive UX-led design.
• Lead and execute customer research plans, and include the wider team in these, to fully appreciate the needs of our users first hand.
• Be an expert in user-centred philosophies and interaction design best practices, and contribute to Sage's design guidelines and standards.
• Be an end-user advocate, driving user needs and goals into both creative and pragmatic design solutions.
• Deliver design work of a high standard of quality within time and technical constraints.
• Person Specification Key Skills
• Excellent understanding, and experience, of standards and guidelines relating to UI design, accessibility and usability testing.
• Expertise in planning and executing quantitative and qualitative user research techniques.
• Application of modern approaches to user testing and use of relevant tools and services.
• Creation of wireframes and prototypes based on user research and best practise.
• Excellent understanding of contemporary interaction design patterns for web and desktop (mobile/touch devices would be a bonus).
• Excellent understanding of measures for evaluating the User Experience, and experience of using these and driving change from the results.
• Experience of agile software development methodologies.
• Expertise in information architecture design, interaction design and visual design.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• User Interface (UI) development skills in relevant technologies would be a bonus.
• Experience with Software design, preferably in a B2B context
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of Payroll Software is a plus
• Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
