The Digital Enterprise (DE) business development/strategy manager will help to develop the digital strategy for Siemens in Southern Africa and influence Siemens’ strategic vision through the lens of digital innovation. This unique position will marry business discipline and strategic ideation with creativity and innovation.
What are the responsibilities for the role?
- Identify potential digitalization business opportunities with customers.
- Create market transparency on DE opportunities and DE defined use cases.
- Support regional sales to acquire DE projects.
- Evaluate customer requirements and guide them in the direction of digitalization.
- Ensure cross-selling approach with DF/PD BUs (eg PL, MC, CP, etc).
- Coordinate resources across local and global Siemens organizations to ensure an efficient and satisfying implementation and realization.
What do I need to qualify?
- A minimum of 10 years experience across different industries is required.
- Sales experience and bidding experience is preferred.
- Experience and knowledge in factory IT systems, Product Life Cycle Management (PLM), Manufactiring Operations Management (MOM) and automation is required.
- Experience and knowledge in integrating factory systems with business systems (ie Enterprise Resource Planning) is required.
- Experience in shop floor production process management is desired.
- Knowledge on IT programming languages and databases is welcome.
- Knowledge in Siemens automation products (ie. PLC, HMI, SCADA, etc) is desired.
- Good understanding of Industrie 4.0 principles.
- MESA Certificate of Competency (CoC) is preferred.
- University Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, automation, computer engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Should be proficient in English (spoken & written).
- Must be prepared to travel both nationally and internationally.
