Job Purpose
To take responsibility for all aspects of Practice Quality Reports and Outlier Engagement with the Health Professional (HP) groups and their societies.
Outputs and Accountabilities
- Build a deep understanding of both the clinical and practice issues affecting medical professionals
- Oversee the implementation of key initiatives and special projects with these Groups / Societies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships between DH and the identified groups and relevant opinion leaders.
- Represent the Discovery Health position on key issues at all relevant Group / Society forums.
- Understand and distil the Groups’ / Societies’ responses to these key issues to feed back to the relevant DH forums
- Ensure that the necessary administrative infrastructure is established and maintained at all of the identified Groups
- Constant engagement with group societies regarding practice quality reports and outliers.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor
- MBA/Health Economics degree is advantageous
Experience
- 3-4 years Health funding experience
- Relevant training and business experience
- Significant experience in the healthcare industry and understanding of the key business and clinical issues
- Excellent interpersonal and problem resolution skills
- Strong administrative and project management experience
- Presentation skills
- Innovative / Ideas driven
