We’re on the search for a Product Owner. We need someone who is eager to grow and evolve existing products, as well as contribute to the conceptualization and creation of new products in the fast-paced, ever changing digital space.

The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team.

We need an individual who is both business and tech savvy. This requires teamwork, which means you’ll need to work with the business to define the requirements in order to achieve your objectives. You will also need to determine product backlog priorities and plan your deliverables. Part of your job description as Product Owner will be to work with the technical teams to ensure that your products are created and delivered to the standard that you require.

• Represent, interface and engage with Stakeholders
• Closely collaborate with the development team
• Contribute to iteration and release planning
• Support and follow the Agile process
• Be the interface between the product and development teams
• Demonstrate and drive business value
• As Product Owner – you’ll have a dual support focus: Product and Team
• Support the Product Development Process
• Create, update and prioritize the product backlog
• Play an integral role in the Agile process
• Track and communicate backlog status, release plan and roadmap progress
• Assist with internal and external communication by improving transparency, and radiating information
• Support the Development Team
• Support your scrum master to empower the team to self-organize and be efficient
• Enable growth and individual as well as contributing to team development
• Available, empowered and knowledgeable

Technical Skills

• Product owner/manager experience would be advantageous
• A technical background is beneficial to the role – and have the ability to understand technical issues at a high level
• Must show business savvy with excellent communication skills
• Understand the market – be able to make product decisions and provide clear business direction
• Actively engage with the scrum team – with a goal to support the team to reach their highest potential
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types
• Required to work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organisation and beyond, ensuring expectations are managed, and deliverables are communicated and transparent all the time.
• Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
• Proven ability to work independently without supervision and with other department personnel
• Must have exceptional communication, organization, planning and time management skills
• Drive focused and iterative delivery within your teams unrelenting on quality and value to the business
• Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
