We currently have an opportunity available for a Architect within our Innovation team that will focus on designing and developing of innovation POC projects.

Purpose:

• Responsible for conceptualization, research, development and management of innovation projects.
• Document findings of Research and Development activities.
• Develop proof of concept business case for new technology.
• Design concept user stories & interaction flows.
• Design technical project architecture.
• Test and package solution for handover.
• Overall project management of proof of concept projects.
• Participation and proactive problem solving to meet team objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• A relevant tertiary qualification (degree) in IT
• 5 years' proven experience in software development, architecture, project delivery and implementation
• Team leadership experience
• Essential experience in the following development languages:

Methodologies:

• Agile
• Object-oriented Development
• Web API & RESTful web services
• MVC design patterns
• Unified Modelling Language
• Relational & NoSQL Database Design
• Cloud architecture & platforms

Web Technologies:

• HTML5
• CSS3
• AngularJS

• Java

Database Technologies:

• Relational, e.g. SQL Server 2012
• NoSQL, e.g. MongoDB, CloudantDB.
• Embedded, e.g. h2db, mdf, SQLite
• Mobile Technologies:
• Android – Android Studio
• iOS – xcode
• Cross platform, e.g. Cordova, PhoneGap

Knowledge of:

• IT systems development processes (SDLC)
• Application, Web and Mobile development
