Requirements

• South African Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Fluent in English
• 3+ years experience in J2EE
• Experience in the administration of Jetty, Tomcat or other J2EE application servers
• 1+ years experience in web service architecture
• Good understanding of JSON and SOAP XML
• Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
• Good understanding of dependency frameworks like Maven2
• Experience in Unit Testing for web services
• Good understanding of ANSI SQL (MySQL, SQL Server or Postgres). Experience in writing triggers, user defined functions and stored procedures.
• Innovative problem solving skills
• Very good communication skills
• Experience in agile development methodologies
• Bachelor degree or similar is preferred

Nice to have

• Additional proficiency in one or more: Python, Go, Node.js
• Experience in object relational mapping
• Experience in micro service architectures
• Experience in semantic data models
• Experience in workflow systems
