Purpose of the job

To create, lead and manage the buying for the Essentials and Schoolwear department in Pep.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy management
• Lead the buying business process for Lingerie; School and Non CFT products
• Commercial application of Trend Forcasting
• Optimise profitability
• Supplier management, sourcing suppliers and products
• Leading the Buying team
• Systems and business process support and development
• Market research and competition analysis
• Budget control

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Purchasing Management or Clothing
• Computer literacy
• 5 years buying experience, preferably in different departments, Lingerie will be advantageous
• Extensive retail knowledge and experience
• Financial management skills; Presentation skills; Negotiation skills; Meeting facilitation skills, In-depth understanding of the buying process; Understanding of the planning process; Knowledge of the Supply chain processes; Market understanding; Product knowledge,
• Competencies: Proven Leadership skills, Interpersonal and Relationship building skills, Decision making abilities, sound business and commercial acumen
