    Senior Business Analyst & Coach (2)

    Job description

    He/She has mastered the industry’s recognised knowledge areas for business analysis and works at the highest levels of abstraction, ambiguity and complexity within the organisation. Performs business analysis tasks to connect information, technology, processes and business needs in varying levels of detail within an area of speciality, and is able to perform all business analysis tasks at both ends of the detail spectrum. Ensure success of high risk or strategic projects by determining the best approach to use for eliciting, validating and prioritising requirements.

    Understand business vision, goals, and objectives. Define business processes and requirements by working with clients, senior management and executives from multiple lines of business. Ensure business objectives and goals are met by acting as lead consultant on approved initiatives.

    Provide support on strategies, systems, processes, frameworks and products, creating competitive advantage for the business by providing feasibility studies at an Executive level; developing Business Cases for initiatives for decision making and by providing initial requirements and risk assessments. Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by ensuring delivered systems, process, services and solutions are aligned.

    Educational Requirements:

    • BA Diploma obtained through an IIBA endorsed training facility
    • Post graduate in BSC Computer Science or BCom Informatics

    Senior Business Analyst Coach - Permanent Post- Sandton

    This role is not a management role so the candidate would to understand that they should not have expectations of being promoted as a manager. We are looking for a person with at least 8-10 yrs min. experience with either: Babok 3, Inside Out, or a Diploma in Business Analysis through FTI (Faculty Training Institute). This candidate needs to clearly display a strong background of hands on coaching experience.The role entails coaching other Senior BA’s within a very pressurised and “high burn out rate” environment where they will be working on demanding deadlines and reporting to PM’s that need to ensure timeous and consistent delivery at the highest standard possible. This person needs to show a high level of emotional maturity and patience. The organisation going through a transformation so there is a lot of change happening at the moment – this person needs to understand that they may also be working with staff who are a bit resistant to change. Identify conflicts and/or synergies between technologies and business functions by maintaining knowledge of multiple business functions and initiatives. Meet business needs through the ability to perform vendor/solution evaluation and solution validation. Achieve business results by communicating with executives and senior leaders on the status and additional opportunities and business threats. Manage requirement risk by developing risk strategy and associated responses. Understand threats against achieving business results by taking appropriate mitigating actions.

    Educational Requirements:
