Purpose of the job

To create, lead and manage the buying for Clothing in Pep.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy management
• Lead the buying business process for Clothing
• Trend Forcasting
• Optimise profitability
• Supplier management, sourcing suppliers and products
• Leading the Buying team
• Systems and business process support and development
• Market research and competition analysis
• Budget control

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Purchasing Management or Clothing
• Computer literacy
• 5 years buying experience, preferably in different departments
• Extensive retail knowledge and experience

Financial management skills; Presentation skills; Negotiation skills; Meeting facilitation skills, In-depth understanding of the buying process; Understanding of the planning process; Knowledge of the Supply chain processes; Market understanding; Product knowledge, Leadership skills, Decision making abilities and Sound business and commercial acumen
