Primary Purpose of the Role
- Responsible for the management of accounting activities and reporting related to the maintenance of financial reports and financial statements.
- Reports financial results on a monthly basis to management to enable appraisal of the client's actual performance against target.
- Responsibilities include the preparation of management accounts, implementation of accounting policies/procedures and ensuring compliance.
- Supports business in articulating their strategic choices to ensure profitability

Strategy
- Supports the implementation of the Telkom Business Group Strategy
- Supports the Commercial Sales framework which includes the management of financial risks, structures, processes, culture and technological architecture
- Understand of action plans to meet agreed strategic objectives within client portfolio
Financial (Satisfied Stakeholders)
- Supports client’s actions to direct and co-ordinate activities to achieve profit, maximise cash flow and return on capital
- Ensure that profitability client reports are proficiently compiled to support revenue and GP growth
- Manage financial functions and preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results
- Understand the importance of accurate data and utilises systems, tools and technologies to execute processes and data analysis
Customers (Satisfied Customers)
- Promote and facilitate optimum engagement between Finance Shared Services and Telkom Business Connexion stakeholders.
- Establish and enhance strategic customer relationships and promoting sound relationships with external clients
- Drive delivery excellence in collaboration to through delivering customer excellence
Operational
- Budgeting/Rolling Forecast management and capturing
- Ensure completeness of revenue, including WIP, and match income and costs
- Ensure correct allocation to enable profitability reporting (by client by line of business)
- Ensure that journal entries comply with all applicable accounting, legal and Telkom Business Connexion’s requirements
- Compile management reports per account detailing debtors, revenue, gross profit and profit before interest and tax.
- Compile profitability client reports proficiently to support revenue and GP growth
- Preparation and review of monthly management reports
- Support the overall growth of business revenue and GP within Sales Business
- Comply with relevant reporting, accounting and audit requirements imposed by regulatory bodies and provide consultative support to business areas
- Understand the importance of accurate data and utilises systems, tools and technologies to execute processes and data analysis.
- Deliver services in a way that is timely and ensure information is accurate and understandable
- Monitor the integrity of data used or generated and liaise with the appropriate people to initiate amendments
- Maintain effective commercial administration on client contracts with regular feedback sessions to minimise disputes.
- Analyses financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.

- Contributes to a culture of team work through collaboration, interaction and regular communication with relevant stakeholders within Telkom Business Connexion
- Develop relationships with business colleagues so as to be viewed as a trusted advisor
