    Receptionist

    Job description

    Key responsibilities

    • The Receptionist will manage the Front Desk and assist with administrative duties
    • Reception coverage
    • Assist with Administrative duties and Travel requests
    • Enforcing the front desk Security procedures
    • Welcome guests and clients in a manner which demonstrates professionalism and a friendly disposition
    • Provides continuous coverage at the reception desk during working hours
    • Screen calls and delivers messages timeously
    • Organize logistical arrangements for any meetings
    • Organize logistical arrangements for all travel
    • Coordinate cleaning staff to ensure meeting rooms are ready for use at all times
    • Maintain the reception area
    • Purchase supplies, including cutlery, crockery, refreshments, etc. to ensure availability at all times
    • Complete ad hoc requests and administration to support the People team

    Skills and competencies
    Requirements (Qualifications and Experience)

    • Matric
    • Driver’s License
    • Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in a similar role
    • A secretarial / administrative qualification will be advantageous
    • Previous client-facing experience
    • Previous administrative experience
    • Previous Receptionist / Secretarial / Travel booking experience

    Skills, knowledge and competencies

    • MS Office
    • Computer Literate
    • Great communication and interpersonal skills
    • Well-groomed and presentable at all times
    • Well-spoken with a friendly disposition
    • Calm, approachable nature
    • Attention-to-detail
    • Team player
    • Not easily distracted
    • Ability to multi-task
