Job description

Purpose of the role:

To facilitate the integration of digital payment solutions in delivery of an omni-channel experience for clients
Provide specialist input on business and technological aspects during business requirements gathering and technical design, development and implementation phases

Analyse implemented solutions and recommend further improvements, which will improve service, quality and value

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• Relevant 3 year degree (B.SC Computer Science / B.Comm Information Systems) is preferred
• 6- 8 years’ proven experience as Architect in relation to Branded/Scheme (Visa and Mastercard) magnetic stripe and chip card payment processing (e.g. authorisation, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, dispute resolution, extracts and general ledger integration) architecture and design
• Card transaction switching and routing experience
• Card Payments: Mastercard contact and contactless M/Chip specifications
• Security principles; a solid foundation in symmetric and asymmetric cryptography
• Mobile QR-based payment capabilities (for example, Masterpass Wallet) for face to face, in-app and on-line payments.
• Experience in Agile product development lifecycle

Working knowledge of the following:

• Mobile NFC-based payments (including tokenisation)
• Mobile Payments:
• The mobile phone development process and platforms, specifically Android and iOS
• EMV payment tokenisation technical framework
• Mastercard cloud-based payments
• Mastercard’s Digital Enablement System (MDES) and Digital Secure Remote Payments (DSRP)
• Postilion Real-Time framework, Postcard and Postilion Office
• Binary and hexadecimal number systems
• Retail Banking: Online banking through connected devices (Smart phone; Tablet; Desktop) as well as mobile (USSD) capabilities
