- Conduct content acquisition activity for East, West and South Africa
- Engages with both government and commercial organizations in finding, qualifying, and obtaining a variety of different types of geospatial datasets that meet the objectives of HERE
- Coordinate with other teams on source evaluation
- Actively pursues suppliers of geospatial data, arranges meetings, presentations and follows up with suppliers
- Conducts preliminary source evaluation
- Negotiate commercial and legal terms to acquire datasets
- Execute all required contracts and purchase orders and obtains dataset
- Conducts market research to identify possible data suppliers
- Execute administration related to supplier management
- Coordinate with other teams to conduct initial supplier data evaluation to ingest data in order to build or enhance HERE's offerings
- Create and regularly update supplier inventory and profile including key information related to the supplier relationship
- Consolidate communication and collateral requirement from sourcing team and work with Product Marketing and Product Management to create the respective support material (e.g. presentations, demos, proof points, phone scripts)
- Create and maintain communication master file per content category and industry that consolidates best practice for key arguments, objections and answers
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor degree (preferred technical or business degree)
- Experience in business development, procurement and supply chain
- Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Convincing and persuasive door opener mentality
- Knowledge and/or understanding of Maps and Location-Based service
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to operate independently in support of the larger team's goals

- Working experience with vendor management software
