    Material Planner

    Job description

    Main Job Purpose

    Manage the procurement (call off) of all packaging and raw materials aligned to production plan to ensure maximum plant operating efficiency, deliver optimal customer service and stock levels within Working Capital Targets. Communicate medium and long term material forecasts with suppliers and pro-actively identifying potential supply constraints.

    Job Summary

    • Ensure that the production plan set by the production planners can be met timeously by calling off raw and packaging materials in advance
    • Meet suppliers on a regular basis to identify and manage possible constraints, up to 104 weeks forward
    • Track Working Capital of packaging and raw materials on a weekly basis
    • Maintain all SAP master data relevant to Materials Planning (incl. MRP screens) for Raw, Packaging and Returnable Materials
    • Manage material write offs at launches, re-launches, SKU rationalisation, VIP projects, working closely with the factory scheduler to ensure that all plans are optimized and run-out schedules are accurately maintained

    Key Requirements

    • University Degree / Diploma, Supply Chain qualification or working towards such qualification
    • 1-3 Years exposure to broad based Supply Chain management within FMCG industry
    • Managing external parties experience will be an advantage
    • Planning and functional business process knowledge
    • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point experience
