Job Purpose:

To control professional and technical processes associated with the provision of Engineering service to internal / external clients through the provision of guidance and advice on the formulation of proposals and design concepts and contract and project management of basic and average complexity type of broadly defined engineering works with moderate levels of impact.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Provides advice / information and guidance on the principles, procedures and applications associated with basic or average complexity Engineering processes encapsulated in specific projects of a broadly defined nature.
• Applies principles and techniques associated with the development and presentation of technical designs.
• Co-ordinating sequences associated with the preparation collation of contract documentation and / or evaluation of tender applications.
• Controls the implementation / outcomes associated with time, quality and cost of specific basic and average complexity Engineering contracts.
• Disseminates information on the professional and technical aspects of engineering design concepts and provides reports detailing interventions and outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

• Registration as a Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr.Techno.) with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code B or EB).
• 3 years relevant experience.

Special Conditions:

Appointment or progression to Senior Civil Engineering Technologist level will be subject to applicants' achieving the required number of credits that would be deemed as a pass in the Internal Assessment Test.
