As a Solution Sales Manager in Johannesburg, you will sell Gemalto solutions and Services for different major Telecom customers in Africa South cone.
A week in the life of a Solution Sales Manager:
- You will be the owner of and be accountable for Services and Solutions forecast and revenue for the covered customers.
- You will coordinate with presales-team for offers packaging, delivery teams and cross the support functions.
- You will be responsible of growing the business pipe and activity.
- You will create awareness on customer side through workshops and road shows.
- You will identify new opportunities and position Gemalto as a key partner within the global accounts.
- You will coordinate Gemalto tenders’ answers.
- You will establish high-level strategic relationships with the global account. Identify the main contacts and decision makers.
- You will facilitate the creation of the relevant relationship for the appropriate Gemalto resource.
- You will interface with various resources within the Business Units to ensure the customer’s needs are fully addressed and that the appropriate resources are allocated in due time to the account.
- You will create and implement an actions follow up process at the customer.
- You will collaborate with the Account Manager to set up project strategies.
- You will follow the project implementations, set up a crisis management plan.
- You will provide the account with product evolution inputs and roadmap definition;
- You will ensure the relevant market information are communicated internally in Gemalto.
- You will have good knowledge of the third parties working in your account in order to create the relevant synergies.
- We are looking for someone with at least 3 years' experience working in the Telecom or IT segment.
- You must have 5-10 years' work experience, with at least 3 years' experience in software sales.
- Tertiary qualification would be a plus.
- You must be fluent in English (oral and written).
- You must be willing and able to travel from time to time (on average, once every two to three weeks).
- To succeed at this job, you must be business/result-orientated, with good oral and written communication skills, and good negotiation skills.
