Head of Revenue Management and Pricing at Comair Limited

Job description

Not only will this senior positon play an important part in Comair’s commercial future but will also manage a team of pricing and revenue professionals.

Essential duties:

• Oversee the development/refinement and training of Comair’s Pricing and Revenue Management teams
• Manage the business process of P/RM to attain company revenue objectives and commercial Strategies, and maintain competitive advantages
• Establish and track performance of market-level inventory strategies, with the goal of identifying and exploiting revenue opportunities in a highly competitive pricing environment
• Understand the unique political and economic circumstances of South Africa and adapting Comair’s pricing and revenue strategy accordingly.
• Define and execute a plan to define a new ancillary revenue strategy, including benchmarking industry standards, building strategies, policies and an implementation plan. This will need to be communicated internally and supported with other key business functions, like Marketing and e-commerce.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant experience in the leadership of or at the core of a revenue management function within an airline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Aviation Management or related field or equivalent work experience is required, with additional consideration given to those candidates with a Master’s degree or higher
• Significant hands-on experience with airline pricing and yield management tools, yield forecasting techniques and general airline economic data
• Team Membership & Leadership skills: has proven himself/herself to be a strong multi-functional team player, who can build relationships with planning, network management, marketing, sales and finance
