    Corporate Account Manager - Mining

    Job description
    Job Overview

    Lead sales processes and customer relationship development with multi-property mine operators in sub-Saharan Africa for Nalco Water.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Lead new business development projects with Mine operators and EPCs with properties in sub-Saharan Africa.
    • Engage property operations management staff to understand business drivers.
    • Work with Nalco Water field engineers to progress reagent performance improvement projects. Communicate value of performance improvement projects to client technical and operations management teams.
    • Develop in conjunction with clients, a reagent program KPI dashboard for reagent programs and communicate results against system assurance requirements to client technical and operations management teams.
    • Develop and maintain working relationship with mine property operations and technical teams as necessary to gain receptivity for Nalco Water solutions.
    • Engage customer procurement teams and coordinate with Nalco Water team to develop contracts and deliver order-to-payment process performance.
    • Develop relationships and effectively communicate value delivered by Nalco Water with client’s executive leadership for operations, process technology, and environmental stewardship.
    • Identify prospects and coordinate engineering activities required to gain reagent applications for new properties.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a science or engineering discipline required
    • Ten years commercial development experience in a business to business, heavy industry role required; ideally having a network in the African Mining industry
    • Experienced in Corporate Sales Management, incl. negotiations with C-suite
    • Willing to live in Johannesburg, RSA.
    • Positions requires 75% of time traveling in Sub-Saharan Africa.
    • Additional experience in an operations or engineering role highly desirable
    • MBA is desirable
