QUALIFICATIONS:

• BEng ( Relevant) ( Essential/Minimum ) or
• B Tech ( Relevant) ( Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate First Line Management ( Recommended/Desirable )

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years Project Management within a heavy industry environment (Essential/Minimum)(Team/Project Leader/Supervisor)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registeres with Engineering Council of SA ( Essential/Minimum)

OUTPUTS:

BUDGET AND COST CONTROL

• Assist in the preparation of the section's annual budget by fore-casting operational costs and monitor expenditure and cash flow on a regular basis
• Ensure actual costs are within the boundaries set by the manpower and operational budgets, rectify deviations where applicable
• Ensure contracts and documentation are in line with departmental budgetary stipulations
• Conduct financial analysis and focus on advancements in the specialist field in order to assess advancements and potential cost reduction

COMPLIANCE, GOVERNANCE AND ASSURANCE

• Develop, maintain and improve safe operational and engineering standards and continuously review specifications and schedules
• Ensure equipment integrity is maintained according to safety standards
• Maintain NOSA and related systems, aligned with Exxaro safety standards, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment registers, ISO 14000; 9000 and 18001 systems
• Manage and control quality of raw materials and products
• Conduct timeous investigation of incidents and ensure adequate remedial action is implemented
• Execute and drive safety programs
• Ensure effective risk management by identifying hazardous activities and mitigation measures on a continuous basis

CUSTOMER AND CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

• Support core business by ensuring appropriate stakeholder relation- ships toward enhancing the corporate profile
• Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers or other functions responsible to ensure that the business needs are met and employees are satisfied
• Provide relevant support and legislative service to applicable stake-holders

PROJECTS AND CI

• Drive (mining) improvement projects toward enhancing the operations of BU
• Optimise the processes of scheduling and design
• Ensure equipment optimisation by conducting timeous
• investigations, benchmarking and feasibility studies toward identifying
• deviations/deficiencies in a proactive manner
• Make recommendations in respect of appropriate principles/methodology to be followed
