Job Purpose:

To provide specialist or professional engineering input into resource recovery recycled water and energy efficiency for the Water and Sanitation unit.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Provides technical support to the Branch and Unit.
• Responsible for the professional analysis of the various aspects associated with energy in water conveyance and storage, wastewater conveyance and disposal including sewer and water reticulation, pump stations, wastewater treatment works, building and structures.
• Interaction with other organisations and affected parties on behalf of the department.
• Professional supervision of contracts.
• Responsible for the preparation of draft routine reports correspondence and estimates for submission to Professional Engineer.
• Responsible for the verification of Developers submission.

Essential Requirements:

• B.Sc (Mechanical Engineering) plus registration as a Candidate Mechanical Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa within 3 months of employment.
• Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
• 2 years relevant experience.
