    Digital Copywriter

    Job description

    Digital Copywriters usually work in a creative partnership with an art director to conceive, develop and produce effective advertisements.

    The art director deals mainly with the visual images; the copywriter provides the verbal or written aspect. This involves writing 'copy', i.e. coming up with original catchphrases, slogans, messages and straplines. It also includes writing all the wording in any digital media application.

    • In addition to working with Creative Directors, Art Directors & Graphic Designers, Copywriters are often involved in the production process. This may include casting actors & voiceover artists or dealing with production companies and directors.
    • Typical work activities:
    • Typical work activities in a digital advertising agency include:
    • Research & discovery to gain insight for new projects
    • Brainstorming ideas and concepts
    • Working in a close-knit creative partnership with the Creative Director or, Art Director to generate workable concepts and ideas
    • Writing clear, persuasive, original copy
    • Submitting ideas and discussing progress with the creative director before making presentations to clients
    • Amending, revising or redeveloping campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director or clients
    • Working on several campaigns at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines
    • Proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar;
    • Liaising with production companies, photographers, designers and developers

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Qualifications: Detail of your Digital qualifications to be provided
    • Minimum years experience: 3+ as digital copywriter
    • The ability to write comprehensive and insightful briefs
    • A sound knowledge of the relevant structures and processes in the agency
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Confident communication skills

    Computer literacy: All Microsoft products, example:

    • MS Word
    • MS Excel
    • MS PowerPoint
    • MS Outlook
    • Chase
    • Keynote
