As a leading South African developer of legal software solutions for the South African and international markets, we are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our multinational team, to drive the QA role in the team, apply best practice and push automation by mentoring and guiding others.

• Set the strategy for the quality direction of the product.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
• Establish more efficient ways to test features and identify the relevant test platforms.
• Actively participate in expanding, maintaining and overseeing automation projects.
• Own and champion particular technologies/tools and suggests innovative ideas and enhancements.
• Improve and review test analysis, processes and project test strategies.
• Facilitate, lead and mentor Quality Analysts.
• Identify gaps in the QA resources and assist in recruitment.
• Provide technical leadership for projects.
• Ensure timely and high-quality assurance for the product.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED?

• Relevant 3 year IT/Finance/Accounting degree.
• 6+ years of experience in testing complex software systems.
• Experience in web testing and automation e.g. Playwright or Postman.
• Leadership experience – coaching and mentoring other team members
• Team player, independent, out-of-the-box thinker, and self learner.
• Passion for learning and mentoring, enjoying seeing others succeed
• Excellent understanding of testing concepts and the role of QA in Scrum.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
• Analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
• Experience executing and designing test cases.
• Experience creating and maintaining testing environments.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Basic SQL skills.
• Must be a South African citizen or hold a valid work permit.
