Relief Cashier - Head Office Financial Services Department - Meyerton at Midvaal Local Municipality

Job description

• Receive payments by cash, debit cards or credit cards and issue receipts.
• Balancing daily revenue collected and compare it with the audit trail.
• Complete bank deposit slips to bank revenue collected on a daily basis.
• Open, close and lock the cash register.
• Responsible for all money received and deposited to the bank.
• Perform any other Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by supervisor from time to time. 

Minimum requirements

• Grade 12
• Experience within Income section of a Finance Department will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience working as a cashier in a similar pressurized environment (e.g. Bank) will serve as a strong recommendation
• Knowledge of Cash Drawer Programme will serve as an added advantage.
• Computer Literate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• 0-1 Year experience as a cashier
