    Product Manager Global Grade 12 - Isando

    Key Output

    • Develop and implement joint growth initiatives with Caterpillar and affected regions.
    • Drive machine Sales Execution discipline across Southern Africa
    • Execute BWE/Caterpillar machine sales Growth plan
    • Negotiate and allocate Sales Variance funds (non-CAP) from Caterpillar to support business growth.
    • Support of Sales Reps as a Product Expert to sell machines.
    • Providing sales supporting information and material to the Sales Reps
    • Link between Caterpillar and Barloworld for responsible product
    • Analyzing sales potential and document product requirements in collaboration with Caterpillar
    • Training of employees,
    • Creating and delivering product GTM training to employees
    • Contact for technical questions.
    • Act as Sales Rep consultant for product specific machine configurations for customer applications
    • Constant market and competition monitoring,
    • Competitive observation (prices, promotions, technical changes)
    • Supporting marketing events,
    • Collaboration with Marketing Team for market specific product promotion
    • Managing inventory and pipeline
    • Collaboration with Supply Chain team to ensure right machine stock
    • Ensure correct configuration of machines for market

    Qualification, Experience and Competencies

    • B. Engineering/Marketing Degree an advantage or Equivalent
    • 3 to 5 years in earthmoving environment / mining / construction
    • 2 years cross discipline experience an advantage (Service/Parts/Product support)
    • Advanced Microsoft Office experience
    • Adequate Product knowledge in Major Classes
    • Front line sales experience
    • Solution Development
    • Product Knowledge/Overview
    • Sound Business Acumen
    • Data Analysis background
    • Related business experience in Sales and Marketing environment
