Role Purpose
British Council Algeria is recruiting an Examinations Services Assistant to carry out a range of both Paper Based and Computer-delivered IELTS, Cambridge, Professional and University administrative tasks to ensure that Exams are administered to the required operational and security standards as described in the Administrator’s Manual and the British Council Quality and Compliance Assessment System as well as enhancing the quality of customer service and delivery.

Main Accountabilities:
Examinations Administration (Pen and Paper)
Ensure that all security and QCA (Quality and Compliance Assessment) standards for maintaining all examinations confidential material are followed
Carry out examinations administration using web-based administration and management systems.
Maintain the efficiency of examinations day delivery as per the board requirements. Ensure candidate registration, data entry, and reconciliation are completed accurately and efficiently
Liaise with candidates, registration partners, and associates on all matters related to examinations delivery.
Computer-Based Testing
Support and agree on strategies to enable the delivery of an increasing range of computer-based tests.
Ensure appropriate coverage and set-up of computer-based testing venues for the rollout of IELTS computer-based examinations.
Ensure computer-based testing venues are set up with appropriate kit installed, software installed to schedule.
Provide hands-on, first-line IT support before and during the Computer-based test session. This includes support for the server and computers used for examination delivery, local area network, and communication links.
Liaise with internal and external staff in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
Ensure all duties are delivered in line with the British Council’s policies on Child Protection, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, and these are considered when planning and delivering activity.
About You (essential requirements for the role):
Applicants must have the right to work in Algeria.
Language skillls: Fluent reading and writing in English, Arabic and French
Work experience in a similar role
Experience working in a multi-cultural Organisation in an international context
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Desirable requirements
University degree
One year of experience in a similar role. Proven track record in general office administration
Working in public, not-for-profit Shortlisting private sector organizations & Interview
Experience of working in a matrix management structure.
